Japan’s National Tourism Board’s New Insider Guide to Japan Features Hidden Attractions, Interesting Sights, and Things to Do Before You Know

TOKYO – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) –National Tourism Organization of Japan (JNTO) is launching a new Insider’s Guide to Japan categorized into seven themes that will motivate tourists. These seven themes “Nature”, “Outdoors”, “Tradition”, “Cuisine”, “Relaxation”, “Art” and “Cities” are linked to a concept of “Wellcation” (a mixture of well-being and holidays ) that help visitors relieve stress and anxiety resulting from the “new standards” of the past year and a half. The content also covers various Japanese attractions ranging from culture and cuisine to current events, newly created tourist spots and recent travel trends.

An example is the trip to luxury train in the Kyushu region. The train itself is a jewelry box on wheels and is serviced by white-gloved staff providing guests with delicious cuisines ranging from Japanese fare to Italian-style dishes prepared by local restaurants using selected local foods. There are also stops along the way for guests to visit sights and local craft shops.

To visit Super Nintendo World at Universal Studios Japan in Osaka Prefecture can be another way to unwind from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Nintendo’s first foray into the world of theme parks is designed as an interactive game in which visitors can purchase a Power Up Band linked to a smartphone upon entry, allowing them to collect virtual coins and play against characters. enemies.

For those in need of spiritual relaxation, the sacred road, “a modern pilgrimage to Shikoku“, may be the perfect thing to do. The Sacred Road, which stretches for a 1,200 kilometer loop, traces a scenic path through the natural landscape of Shikoku and passes through rugged mountains, forests, and villages along the way.
