Liberia’s new tourism brand identity unveiled at the Liberia National Tourism Association – Global News Network
(Monrovia) – Liberia is taking another step towards improving its economic growth and employment opportunities through its tourism sector. The International Trade Center, the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) as well as the Liberian Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism and the Ministry of Trade and Industry organized an awareness-raising workshop on the new brand identity of Liberian tourism, which will be launched on September 27. .
Members of the National Tourism Association of Liberia had the chance to familiarize themselves with the identity of the Liberian tourism brand, thereby focusing on the marketing strategy.
“This workshop came at the right time. We cannot develop tourism without a marketing component. It is good that we have all come here, especially stakeholders such as the National Tourism Association of Liberia, so that we can all speak with one voice on the marketing aspects of tourism.
Juanita Yiah, Director of Tourism, Ministry of Information, Cultural Affairs and Tourism, Liberia
“After working on the branding strategy, it was necessary because we are now able to see exactly where we are. It was good that they first deployed it to us, before launching it to the public. Everyone was engaged, everyone had a comment, and everyone had a question. We’re really, really excited about this! “
Mai Urey, President of the National Tourism Association of Liberia
“The workshop is a positive step in the right direction for promoting tourism in Liberia. This work started a few years ago, and this workshop with the presentation of branding and tourism, tells us how far we have come and how far we plan to go.
Jesse Jefferson Fahn, Director of Trade Related Projects Implementation at the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MoCI), and Ministry focal person on the Liberia Tourism Development Project
“Today’s workshop sensitized all relevant stakeholders to the new brand ahead of its launch on September 27, on World Tourism Day.
