National Tourism Day: Launch of “Srinagar City Heritage Tour Bus Service” | India is blooming

Srinagar/IBNS: In a bid to commemorate the National Tourism Day celebration, the Kashmir Department of Tourism on Wednesday launched the ‘Srinagar City Sightseeing Bus Service’ to showcase heritage sites, cuisines and l craftsmanship to enhance the experience of incoming visitors.

Tourism Secretary Sarmad Hafeez also flagged the bus service which will take tourists to important sites in Srinagar city including Burzhama, Hariparbat, Chatipadshahi, Jamia Masjid, Hazratbal, Harwan Buddhist site, Pari Mahal and other sites. ‘other places.

The aim of the tour is to boost the city’s heritage tourism potential, officials said.

Also, the tourism department has launched tours across the country to Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Aru Valley, Doodpathri, Baderwah and other famous destinations.

“The government is working under a well-planned strategy to ensure that all tourist destinations and resorts remain open during the winters, while taking good care of the safety and comfort of tourists, which is always of importance. paramount for the administration,” he said.

The Tourism Department is also planning to launch Night Skiing and Night Shikara events in strict compliance with covid protocols.

The Director of Tourism informed that in view of the National Tourism Day, the department is organizing several snow events in Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Doodpathri and other places besides the renowned heritage tour in Srinagar.

On the first day of the launch of the facility, a team from Maharashtra will visit several places of great heritage significance like archaeological sites, shrines, masjids, temples in addition to kitchens and handicrafts, officials said tourism.
